How it all started...

Mezzo litro was born from the idea of being able to offer a real Italian dining experience, where the traditional cuisine is revised with a twist of creativity and innovation. Italian Art Food available to everyone and everywhere.

It's not just an ordinary food truck, it is a restaurant on wheels, that allows us to bring a high-end dining experience at your doorstep, or at locations where otherwise it would have been unthinkable.

The vision is to offer great food, healthy choices, unforgettable moments.

We cater for Weddings, Corporate and private Events. And we can offer a full planning service.

Meet the Chef 

Chef Stefano is a talented chef who has been passionate about food from a young age. He began his career working in his family's restaurant in Italy, where he learnt the basics of Italian cuisine from his mother and grandmother, who were both skilled chefs.With a desire to learn more, Stefano completed an apprenticeship at the Michelin starred Le Fermata, where he developed his skills and started experimenting with new techniques and styles. His passion for culinary innovation led him to accept an offer to work at the Intercontinental Bahrain, where he adapted his cooking to cater to an international audience.After a successful stint in Bahrain, Stefano decided to move to New Zealand with his family to pursue his next culinary adventure. He worked at Poderi Crisci on Waiheke Island, The Duke of Marlborough in Russell and then Head Chef at Botswana Butchery in Queenstown.

Now with his purpose-built commercial kitchen he can cater everywhere and create memorable dining experience that his clients will remember and rave in time to come.

Meet the Planner 

Daniela has been in Events and hospitality for more than 20 years. 

She worked with some of the most amazing and high-end venues worldwide, organizing weddings in Europe, Caribbean, Indian Ocean and United States. 

When she moved to New Zealand with Stefano and their 4 kids, she started working on Waiheke Island and the Bay of Islands, expanding to Corporate Events, team buildings and big Events, such us Festival and Concerts,

The results have always been outstanding, thanks to her attention to details and dedication to always go above and beyond to create the perfect Event,
